Hello Aspiring Freelance Writers

When I first dabbled in freelance writing online I started a couple of blogs on here and didn't really have a lot of success.

3 years later.....

I am now working successfully as a freelance writer full-time and am back giving blogger another go. It wasn't their fault. I didn't know what I was doing then. I thought I could post something on the Internet and millions of people would read my work and I would earn an instant living. I didn't understand SEO, keywords and article promotion etc.

It doesn't work like that. After four years of hard work finding out about the good, the bad and the ugly I am finally making a living on the Internet. Don't get me wrong, I am not a millionaire, nor am I going to write posts about how to get rich quick. Hopefully, I will write posts that will help others to cut out the hard work bit I had to go through and find the best places to write, the scams to avoid and lots of other useful tips on how to manage your time, find the best jobs, use links, get views and use social media.

So, I expect you want to know some more about me. I am a 34-year-old mother of four from the UK. When I was pregnant with my third child I started writing a bit online to earn some extra cash. I was saving up for a pram. When I went on maternity leave an administrative error with my date of birth meant that my Working Tax Credits got stopped. As a result, I couldn't go back to work as I didn't have the money for childcare. What could I do? I upped my efforts writing online.

I don't earn a fortune. However, I have kept up with my bills and had a two-bedroom extension built on my house. I have since had a fourth baby so it was necessary. Keep track of what I write on here and you will soon know what to avoid doing, where it is best to write, find some great links for experts in this field and get your freelance writing career kick-started.
